Excuses for more Henry photos
While we've collectively moved much of our online social life to Facebook, there are a big bunch of photos that I haven't got around to uploading there and figure, why not capture for posterity here. If anyone knows the rule for what goes on facebook and what goes on a blog, please tell us before the rules change again :-) you have five minutes, if that!
Here are a few shots from before Henry turned 4 that are at this point dated but still memorably cute:
He seems to sometimes be exuberant, as above, and at other times pensive/inquisitive, as below:
Of course there's no fun in posting pix of the lad being impossibly "stroppy" as they say round here - difficult and grouchy. All tolled we do manage to have quite a bit of fun.
..and act a little strange from time to time:
..the last shot is with his English cousins, whom in proud Havelock tradition he has quickly learned to worship.
This is where I'm supposed to offer wise and pithy observations about being Henry's dad... all I can say, is that when he volunteers out of nowhere, Daddy I love you to the moon and back! I know he's repeating something he heard somewhere, but I can ride on that for a week, easy. And when I say the same back to him, and see in his eyes and his little smile that he knows it's true all the way down to his bones... I know we're all going to be okay.
